first jeep - from narragansett

Hey everyone I was wondering if anyone knows some good places to get wrangler customized? I am planning on lifting my Jeep 4-6 inches and put 33-35 inch tires on. I don’t know if anyone in RI specializes in these things?

Thanks!

I know of one, he just did a 4.5" rc lift and 31’s on my cherokee. Pm me for details…

Do it yourself. We can help.

I second, if that’s not an option Clair jeep in Newport has been doing ad ons

I wish I could do it myself! I am having shoulder surgery next week and I won’t be able to lift anything heavy for at least a year. Thanks for the ideas!!!

The trick is to invite the right people. Then they do the work while you stand back and drink beer. Works for me.

I think the Jeep dealers are focusing mainly on JK’s. WC Motorsports in Foxboro does installs. Andy’s East Coast Speed in Cranston (or might be Warwick) would probably take on the job.

there is also the new place in Warwick. what are you lifting? Cherokee?

I drove by and checked out the new place in Warwick and don’t believe they will be doing installs because there is no garage. I get the impression they will be dealing mostly in accessories. Sort of like All Things Jeep.

If you dont wanna do it urself i can do it for you. Just lemmi know. 401-219-1976. I own my own bissiness and customizing is part of it.

Thanks again for all of the tips! You guys are awesome. I will be lifting a 94 wrangler.

One more question if you guys don’t mind. What brand lifts should I look at? way to many choices!!! I was thinking I might do a 3 or 4 inch suspension lift and 1 or 2 inch body lift.

I just did a 1.25" jks body lift with the 1" motor mount lift. As far as suspention do your research and figure out what will be best for what you want. For my tj I’ve been looking at the rough country and the rusty’s lifts

Durands viewtopic.php?f=24&t=1895 shop specializes in RC and Rusties see what they can do for you

94, thats a YJ right? there are a bunch of YJ guys around here i’m sure someone knows whats good.

I reccomend rough country lifts.

go with rough country i got ome and absolutly hate em.

Hopefully Jay or Willyb will weigh in. I think FabTech is the gold standard for YJ leaf springs. Rough Country gets you into the game if you are on a budget.

I know that Paul has FabTech in his YJ.

Anyone have any expierence with rusty offroad?

Then I must have been thinking of something else.

I’m running Rusty’s coil springs in my rig and get most of my brackets from there as well. Usually ships quickly but shipping cost seems to be a little on the high side.
