I’ve noticed the drivers side footwell has been wet on the 97 XJ I just bought. This morning after the big rain last night I have 1 inch of water there. Window was up, windshield seal looks okay. Not wet anywhere else I can find, just drivers footwell.
I would pull the carpet back then with a garden hose pour water in the vent on the hood look for water to come in. Then the bottom of the windshield. Then spray top of winshield.
