UPDATE

We worked all day 9am - 8:30 pm and it is not finished. The front is basically done but the rear has a ways to go. Can’t get the bolts out from the top of the shackle and and the front of the leaf pack. Oh and the two upper bolts on the drivers side shock broke off. Did I mention we also have to replace the brake line running to the read. etc.

So if anyone has a few hours and wants to stop by and lend a hand or share some ideas we will be at Jeff’s (rl139) at 9am Sunday April 19. Hopefully we won’t still be there at 9pm. My cell number is 639-7082 … feel free to call anytinme after 8am Sunday.

Today went slightly better than i thought, but not much.
Hopefuly tomorow will go better.

going to swing by later this afternoon, see if you guys still there

She’s on the road! Still a few things to get done but nothing big…

A huge thanks to Jeff. A thanks also goes out to whitetail, joe sr, and eric. And my buddy joey and my father.

Pics when I load em on the comp.

nice! good to hear you guys got it all set.

Lookin’ forward to seeing the pics.

I guess you figured out how to deal with the broken bolts on the rear shocks. Rusty’s has some rear bar bin eliminators:

Another way to do this is to remove your rear sway bar and use the mounts from it. The jeep looked good in the pics so far. can’t wait to have another XJ out on the trail.

Yeah we figured out how to make new holes to mount the shocks…it drives good…the axle is almost centered but that will be done tomorrow. The stabilizer is going in tomorrow also and the transfer case drop too…because I wasnt going to break anything else lol

Glad it drives good, just been real busy helping out a friend of mine that is ill, wished i could of stayed longer but you guy’s looked like you knew what you were doing

Glad to Have you, My garage is always open th OSJ

We actually used your idea of droping bolts down thru the holes after we drilled them out. Used a wire to feed the bolts in and it worked out great!

the only pictures of i have with it totally “done”

looks good man, can’t wait to see what it does out on the trail
