Was going to re-gear and put a locker in my Dana 30 but after a trip to boulderville the driver side lower control arm mount shifted and cracked the welds. So it’s gotta come out anyway so figured an upgrade would be better. Anyone have any leads before I start calling around/ Craigslist/marketplacing it?

Jeep never offered a front D35. I know one person who has a front D44 housing.
Thanks, didn’t realize they didn’t until I did some more research last night. What does you buddy want for the housing?
Also, has anyone done a D35 swap from a Ford Explorer front axle? I read that they came with one.

I’d recommend a high pinion D30 from Cherokee.
Replace control arm brackets and spring pads with beefier aftermarket parts.
Locker and gears.
Alloy shafts are also recommended.
