Steel breams for chassis jig

I’m looking for steel beams to build a chassis jig. Needs to be cheap, not fancy. I-beams, tube, whatever . . .

I have been searching CL, etc. If you stumble across something before I do then let me know.

What size steel I know a few places that make Mid-City in Westport look like rip-off’s

Anything that is stiff relative to a chassis. 6" maybe. I’m not buying this stuff from a steel distributor. Scrap price at most.

I have used Mid-City on several occasions and they have been right on par price-wise with every other distributor.

I have an old steel post from my back yard that was used as a close hanger its about 4" in diameter. would have to take a sledge hammer to nock off the concrete at the bottom, but if you think you could use it it’s yours. if not then its will be donated to the scrap pile fund.
