Hey guys I’m planing on doing my super short sye on 4/19. I could use a hand so I don’t screw this up. Some have said you don’t have to take out the TC to do this. I’m very busy this month and April between dance and t-ball and special Olympics. I’m looking at sat befor Easter 4-19. My place or yours. Any help will be appreciated. I don’t think it should take that long when I confirm the date I’ll post up on tech day and I will be buying beer and food if the weather is nice maybe on the BBQ. We can make it a multy tech day if it’s at my house. Let me know thanks.

You don’t HAVE to drop the t-case, but it is so, so much easier if you do and do it on a bench!

i wont do them unless its on a bench

You don’t have to take it out but it will take you longer to do it not out. Which SSYE did you go with? Biggest proble. I had was getting off the pinion nuts with it out. Didn’t have an impact wrench.

We have done them on the vehicle but it kind of sucks unless you have a lift. Personally, I would pull the t-case and install the SYE on a bench.

BTW, 4/19 is the day of the Big River clean-up. . .

i need to look at the calender again to see what other days i can do it…i just would like to get it done before go topless…

You definitely need a set of lock ring pliers:

Without these you could easily find yourself smashing everything in sight with a sledgehammer.

thx i need to see if i still have mine…tools seem to walk away before you need them again.

Lock down the day and I will be there. I have lock ring tool also.
