How can i find out what spline my front D30 is, looking at ox lockers and its either Dana 30 3.73 and up, 27 spline or Dana 30 3.73 and up, 30 spline
Take the axle shaft out mark one spline with a marker and start counting till you come back to the marker. I have heard of people sending in there vin numbers to the manufacturer or dealer and they will give you a complete build of the Jeep with all that detail and what not. But I think that what I mentioned up above is the only way to really know and be certain.
On TJ’s, XJ’s, and ZJ’s the D30’s came with 27 spline. The 30 spline was used by some aftermarket alloys. I would assume its the same for JK’s. Calling Tex . . . .
I did email Jeep and got this build sheet, i don’t see anything about spline count tho. Just gear ratio
