They have a 660lb. scale online for 60 bucks not sure if it’s enough
I’d say no, not if you’re weighing the whole vehicle

This is more like it at 1250# per scale, but the price is not reasonable
Ya, I’ll just guestimate it. I think I’m close and 100 pounds doesn’t change that number that drastically. I was able to get my antisquate up to 79% with a roll axis angle below 6 degrees. I just have to see if I can mount my upper link an inch lower at the frame side.
I was able to get the antisquat up to the 80% with only a little compromise with body roll axis angle but it should be workable. I placed the link brackets on the frame and axle but I have to get a rear truss and clean up my welds a bit more before finalizing everything.

The down side of reaching my numbers is that the upper link frame side bracket hangs down below the frame rail. I’ll have to figure out how to make all this work.

Looking good
Finally making a little progress after some time off for the holidays. The rear truss is on the 8.8 and I’m working on locating the rest of the brackets. I have measurements I made up in the 4 link calculator and I’m trying to match up to real life. Still a ton to do but it feels good to see it coming together. I just hope it all stays together. Time will tell.

Finally burned in my rear control arm brackets. I just need to set the axle side brackets and I’ll be ready for some control arms and measure for shocks. I still need to figure out what I’m going to do about body mounts in the rear.

All 4 control arm mounts are in place. Just need some DOM for the arms and I’m good to measure for shocks.

Thanks to Ricky for supplying me with some DOM for my control arms and a pair of coil spring. I got the jeep on its own weight. I rigged some coil springs and bump stops for now so I can keep work under it without the sketchy jack stands. All in all I’m pretty happy. I still have to get it go go and stop on its own but I hope that won’t take long to figure out.

Mila’s Jeep is looking good!

I got some beef for the belly. 2" drop yj skid made from 1/4" plate. I thought it was a good deal shipped. I’ve just been working on brakelines. Next is the steering linkage then the gas tank and then… Ugh, I’ll shoot for the wheeling season of 2019 at this point.
Well I’ve been able to push on hard and have a lot done with still a bit more to go. Since the last time…
I built and installed the 3/4 ton GM steering setup from Ruff Stuff including reaming the knuckles (thanks Barrett Fab and i guess Jamie for lending me your reamer). I installed the front diff and filled it just to have the axle seal leak and spill out $30 in fluids all over the garage floor. I built a steer box brace from some scrap metal I had laying around, got the gas tank mounted in the back seat area and made a sheet metal cover for it. I cut up and rerouted the old exhaust to wrap around the front of the oil pan like the TJ for some added ground clearance. Installed the trans skid and salvaged the oil pan skid from the TJ and made a bracket to work with the Ruff Stuff skid plate.
At this point I tried to fire the Jeep up for the first time in 2 years and one of the fuel injectors decided it was done and spewed gas out all over the garage floor (poor floor needs some love). I tried to replace the gasket with an off the shelf O ring but it leaked again. I heard that the dealership O rings work better. I ordered a new injector but will try the Mopar O rings first just to see if there is something to the myth.
I just got word that my air shocks are finally being shipped. Just need the limit straps and I’m good to go. Barrett Fab are rebuilding and lengthening some driveshafts for me and once I get the air shocks installed, Ricky said he could help me tune the shocks. I am pretty pumped but the list of to do’s I s still pretty daunting but I feel like I’m at the top of the hump.

I think orings for fuel use are green? Anyways I think I have a fuel rail lying around if it’d be any use to you
Thanks, I’ll let you know. The O rings in there now are brown, the new ones are black but sold as replacements. From the couple of threads I came across, people seam to think the Mopar rings are fatter. The gas was just pouring from the top of the injector and backing out from the engine side of the port but only at one injector. It did fire up for a couple seconds before It just shut down and purged gas and right now it’s just a straight pipe off the manifold so I’m sure lack of back pressure does not help matters.
A little more progress. I got the rear shock hoops in and the air shocks mounted up. A couple more things to finish up but it’s back on all four tires and almost ready for a shakedown run.

Looks GREAT DERICK!
Some exhaust work this weekend. I took parts and pieces I had in the garage. If have a TJ precat welded in just before a Walker turbo muffler. Right now I have the exhaust dumping out of the passenger side wheel well. I’ll have to see I& it’s enough or if I will have to run more pipe the rest of t(e way out the back. Soooooo close to being fully driveable

that looks good i never thought of using a pre cat as the main cat looks pretty good clearance wise. what type of paint did you use on the exhaust? im sick of replacing my cat back system every two years due to rust but i also dont want to drop 400 on stainless system that ill pretzel up.
I had the Cat laying around and figured what the hell, it should work. I was just worried it would cause too much back pressure. I could get away without having one but the greenie in me said to put one on.
I used rustoleum high temp. It says it good up to 2000 degrees. After it dries your suppose to heat treat it by warming it up and letting it cool a couple of times. I guess time will tell if it works.
