power window not working

Hi all .
'bought my 95 ZJ with the pas. rear door window never worked.
finally found a problem , under the left rear cushion is a 16 pin connector.
some wires were corroded off / that is why the door jam switch never worked , nor the rear cargo light ever came on when opening any door. Got all interior lights to work .
Now, the window has been up all this time , and now I got power to the window , when I press the “down” on the door switch , I hear a “click” every time I press “down” , there is this “click” sound.
There is no “click” when I press “up” / thinking its all the way up and cannot “click” any, more ?

[ Im so close getting this window working ! ]

most of the web sites talks about window switch’s , I removed and cleaned them all .
and no broken wires .

right now I think there are 3 reasons why the window does not work .

  1. bad window motor
  2. window is stuck in window track , or some other thing preventing normal operation
  3. web site says there is a solenoid in a front door ? , but wouldn’t that effect all doors .

Any ideas ?

I know with my 2004 WJ, the left rear passenger door window wouldn’t work and actually got stuck wide-open two different times. It was due to the “up” wire completely breaking inside the boot. Perhaps its a similar issue. If not, I’d investigate 2 before 1.
