Ocean State Jeepsters will be hosting their 5th Annual Clam Boil on Saturday June 11th 2016 from 12:00-4:00 at the picturesque Seaconnet Sportsmans Club at 145 Sakonnet Dr. in Portsmouth, RI. On the menu will be steamed clams, chowder, sweet corn, potatoes and chourico, non-seafood option, and soda/water. This event is open to the public and space is limited so be sure to get your tickets early. Tickets will be $25 a person.
Matt/Jay, I can’t attend this year due to a prior plan that puts me in Providence at 12:30pm, but I can help that morning for set-up, cooking, etc. Let me know where and when you need me if that is a help.
Sadly, I will be running/crawling/climbing the Tough Mudder in Doswell, VA that weekend.
FYI, I have printed tickets and have them in hand. I will be at meeting on Saturday if anyone wishes to purchase them then
thanks jj, we will prob be at the sportsman 0830-0900 and will certainly need helping hands
ok I’m in
Me and girlfriend will be there.
Matt,
Sorry, I’ll be in Alaska then, but boy do I enjoy cam bakes.

Less than 2 weeks away. Probationary members should note that volunteering to help with the cooking counts toward the requirement to volunteer twice in the first year.
I will be providing live music
I’ll be bring ear plugs for everybody ![]()
Also as in years past I’ll be having an after party at my place which is about 10min for clam boil location
as of today we have only sold 26 tickets. in order for this to be another successful event we need the participation of our members. 26 tickets will not meet our break even point
keep in mind ALL proceeds from this event, and others like the Pig Roast directly impact our land acquisition fund. this, potentially is now more important than ever given the potential purchase of land in our future…EVERY DOLLAR COUNTS
I will always offer and contribute what I can, and as much as I can. but cannot always shoulder the lions share of ticket sales for these events. idealy we would like to see a minimum of 80 tickets sold for this to be worth the efforts of all who volunteer…but of coarse the more the merrier
best case scenario food should be ordered Monday, especially the clams given the volatility of the fishing market. we really need a big push this weekend in sales to help move this event forward
I hope to see you all there next Saturday

I’ll be purchasing my 2 tickets this weekend
I’ll purchase two tickets as well. Unfortunately, I have a commitment on the 11th that may conflict.
Sarah and I will be there

There will be a handful of us there at 0830-9. There’s plenty to do with food prep and setup, and extra hands are welcome.
Thanks
