My tranny is down and out, it’s getting ready to be rebuilt with all new gears, synchros, bearings and seals. It’s 17 years old and has 185000 miles on it. My question is can I run synthetic synchromesh in basically a new tranny?
Like Redline and or Amsoil???

Running synthetic synchromesh in a fresh rebuild is perfectly fine.
Thanks Greg any preference on fluids? I see alot referenced to Redline.

I like Redline and Amsoil. Synchromesh only. Just can’t have sulfur in it as that will wreak havoc with any brass parts or, really, synthetic 0W-30 would work.
