July 4th Arnolds Mills Parade - Cumberland, RI

We have been invited to attend the Arnold Mills July 4th parade once again this year. It is held on the 4th (Friday).

Plan is to meet at the Showcase Cinema on Route 1 in North Attleboro (right off 295) at 9:15 and roll out at 9:30. We need to be lined up for the parade route by 10:00 so we avoid the road race. Parade starts at 11:00.

I’m hoping to get another good turnout for this… it’s a great way to get our name out into the community. Start buying big bags of candy now. We bought over $60 worth last year and were out half way through! :slight_smile:

OK… so lets have some fun with this…

Lets each pick a different theme for our jeeps and decorate them! I think it would be fun and the kids would love it. We should have about an hour from the time we get to the line up to the time the parade starts - that should be a good time to “spruce them up” and make them parade ready.

We are in. We’ll need to figure out a theme though, maybe a beach theme.

Roxie and I will be there. Theme TBD. We need to mount a huge water canon in a Jeep.

Oh do a pirate theme with the cannon as part of it.

Does the jeep have to be registered?

Im sure the buggy would be a hit.

They have tractors and stuff that don’t have plates

its a parade I do not believe so you couldn’t get a float on the Road

Call the parade organizers. Oftentimes the local PD will need to approve unregistered vehicles.

I am in. thinking just covered on mud with USA written in the mud and the biggest American flag I can find.

Hmm…I’m sticking with my bubble maker, and we did pool party themed last year…I’d really like to do under the Sea, but I’d have to start buying stuff now…I will discuss with the Eric.

Oh…under the sea is on. I’ve already ordered balloons. I’m gonna have fish floating everywhere…and bubbles…and I’ll make eric drive and I’ll wear a mermaid tail…
