anyone know of a good shop to have a CV driveshaft rebuilt?

Cockcroft in East Providence does my driveshaft work. They typically turn a job around in half a day.
do it yourself. if you can change an axle ujoint, you can rebuild a cv shaft. get some spicer parts from Crown and i can help you rebuild it this weekend.
but first off, whats it doing that you want it rebuild it?
I have done 2 my self not that hard. Just need a c clamp press and it will be done in 2 hours pending on rust. Lol I have every thing need. You supply parts and I will teach you as well
CV joints on both ends. Got a “new” one from pick n pull but it makes a knocking sound that gets louder with speed. The old shaft was really bad so I am going to check the bearing in the t case when I get time to make sure that is not also a problem.

my guess is its the centering bearing. just get a new one and an extra ujoint and it will be good as new. it takes longer to pull the shaft and reinstall it then to tear it apart

My shaft does not have any u joints
You can buy them remaned for about $400 but I don’t know if a anyone rebuilds them on site. They make a rebuild kit for the axle end but not sure about the case side.
You might consider converting to Cardan-Double Cardan style driveshaft.
