I was finely able to find a Dana 44 out of a 2001 TJ with 61,000 miles on it. It in great shape it has 3-73 gears so for now i can swap it out an replace the Dana 35 which has 3-73 gears,Now i need save up more money to have the Dana30 and Dana44 regeared to 4-56:)
Thats a very clean looking axle. I might suggest throwing some alloy shafts in there when you regear and you should be good to go.

I Paid a little more than i wanted to but that DANA 44 is pretty hard to find around here. Some one offered the guy $1,200 for it if he could ship it to Alamba 
I Payed $950 for it and only had to drive to Pawtucket to pick it up.

Yea it came out of a 2001 TJ Sahara and will bolt up to my 1998 Sahara with no mods.
