I’ll be there to help with leading or spotting if necessary. I think my rig is now underbuilt for those trails!!!
are we setting up the OSJ booth at this event?
I’d love it if you set up a booth. the Ecojocs are setting one up as well as the group looking to open an offroad park in CT or CORP are also setting up a booth as well from the club level. Feel free to have a jeep parked in the booth if you would like.
We will be having a volunteer raffle for anyone that helps out with some little giveaways to say thank you for helping. the Ecojocs have about 6 people lined up to lead and gun, but I dont think they have spotters as well. We are planning 4 trail runs starting at 10am and going about every 1.5hrs from there.
As we told you at GAJR, Selena and will help let us know what you need.
We can still use some spotters and leads to be safe for the trail guides. I will put Ricky down for that. Mike Im sure we will find something for you to do. We have out booths covered for merchandise trail rides etc as well as the gate and some of the parking and we have a few floaters to help where needed but we can always use more hands especially in the early part of the day.
One thing we are also a bit light on is vendor booths. We approached a lot of people but so far we only have a few merchandise type vendors aside from ourselves. We also separated from our vinyl guy who was planing to have a booth. I reached out to Glass Tattoo but they cant make it and the one other guy I know cant make it either. If someone wants to set up a booth have them let me know and we will be more than glad to have them. Booths are free for the event as well similar to what you did with GTD.
thanks
Jeff
we’ll reach out to the couple of groups we know. maybe we can get some others to come out.
Planning on going, will have to leave early for a wedding,I can get there early to help with any setups.
I’m out for this trail ride…have to get more armor.
Thinking of going, but i here people saying need more armor or built enough. is the trails that rough ?
They have everything from mild to extreme at QRMC. Just stick to what you can handle.
I’m going to have to back out, I’m sure my t case is bad
Hi All
I was wondering if there was someone else out here planning to attend that can help out with trails. Turns out the ECOJOCs dont know the system very well and could use a hand with leading and or with doing a pre-run early Saturday.
Also do maps exist for the property they can use to reference the trails?
Anyone that helps out at our event with parking, spotting etc will get a free volunteer shirt and will also be entered in our volunteer raffle. we got a fair amount of stuff from Rugged Ridge that we are holding back as a “thank you” gift for the volunteers so please let me know if you want to help out. ![]()
thanks!
Jeff
I have a map which I will locate later. I can possibly help with trails but I don’t have a rig. I had been planning to staff the club booth most of the day.
There are basically two loops: easy and difficult. Rigs with lockers and 33’s will have a hard time on the difficult loop. When it was wet during GTD buggies were having a hard time. Its not feasible to lead trail rides through the difficult trail without a buggy. The difficult loop is marked well enough for people to follow the signs.
The easy loop should be feasible to lead groups of 15 or so through in about half hour or so. It is also marked with signs but there are so many intersections that tape is needed to keep people from going the wrong way (which always happens anyway).
If it is really need I well help guide or gun the ez trails. I am going to be there all day any way.
I am going early to set up the club booth. I need the table and banner. Is anybody else going early? Can somebody tow the RTI ramp?
i’ll be going early and can tow the ramp
Ran short of money this week now I cant go. Sorry
I can get up there early to help. I’m 30 mins from location , Earlier the better, whats the time?
Probably about 8-ish to set up the booth. Depends on when Jeff wants us there. Calling Jeff.
the CFAC crew will be onsite by or before 7am to get our stuff set up before vendors and such start showing up. We are telling vendors to arrive by 8am and to be set up before 845am. The ECOJOCs are coming around 7am to pre-run the trails as they are not overly familiar with the trails and our hope is to have them hang some ribbon at junctions to avoid wrong turns etc. if anyone wants to jump in and ride shotgun with them on the pre-run or the first run at 10am that would be awesome. ![]()
