Do yourself a favor and go get a grounding strap at autozone etc. I have the same teraflex bracket and they are notorious for losing grounds even after sanding everything down. I have an SWR tuner if needed.
Glenn I have played with that CB in the past installing it in a buddy’s Colorado and they work only problem I have seen with them over time is the volume knob starts to get chattery. Thank you for the Head’s up about the ground problem I will make sure there is a second ground on the antenna.

I run the same cb with the mount on the tire carrier, and a 5 ft firestick. Theres a guy in Mass that professionally tunes them. I put both the quick disconnect and spring on mine, it really got tiresome scraping the cielings of the ATMs
