5th Annual Pig Roast - CANCELLED

not a bad idea tad. in years past we’ve given them $250 plus whatever we collected for camping

We don’t lose any money. When we refund our share wepay refunds their fee as well so it equals the total amount.

I apologize I had interest but needed the funds to get the Cherokee fixed.

Will (and everybody else for that matter), no apology is necessary. Nobody is obligated to attend events. Work, family, and financial obligations clearly must take priority. That said, the pig roast was well-attended in the first four years so it would be nice to know what has changed and, most importantly, if the even should be revived next year.

I preface this by saying I’ve never attended the pig roast, mainly because the kids have a zillion events going on, and I just don’t have the time to make it there.

Nevertheless, I’m really not a pig roast guy, my kids won’t eat it, so it seems like a waste of money to me even if I did go. That said, if it was tied into some type of wheeling event, I’d be more likely to attend.

One man’s opinion

If we were to host a pig roast again I think Wojicks farm may be an ideal place and they seem to be on board with it.

Ive been saying this for the past few years. The debate had been, is this a party or an event. By this the.of.year we have been a bit spent as far as putting on another event goes so we have just had a party. If we go to Wojicks we can limit ticket sales and keep it fun. Also the fact that the venue is kind of out there when taking.onto consideration where the center point of membership locations are.

From the Wojcik’s farm scouting report posted on Dec 29, 2012:

We met the owner of another property in Foster last Sunday. Could be an even better location. Stay tuned for more information . . .
