2" budget boost

received for xmas. when I install this will I need to get an alighnment?
anything else I should get before starting?
kit only contained pucks and shocks. no bump stops ( mine are missing)

Mike u shouldn’t need a alignment unless u need one now. Your going to need swaybar linkage. And extra cash for all the bolts that snap (shocks) etc…

swaybar relocator bracket?
front or rear?

Front and rear it’s just a pair of linkages. U can get reg. or quick disconnects. For a 2" lift go on eBay zone is a good deal.

Mike,

You can use my garage to do this, so you wont have to do it in the snow. Let me know when you are ready. As for the track bars, you do not NEED relocation brackets as many people have installed BB kits without them. The front axle will be shifted to the drivers side about a 1/4" while the rear will be shifted over to the passengers side about a 1/4 inch. Not a deal ideal but not the end of the word either. If the budget is there then I would recommend getting one for the rear at least. Don’t get one for the front. The right way to do this is with an adjustable sway bar (some time down the road).

Rough country has a rear for $18.00 roughcountry.com/track-bar-bracket-1087.html

You should do an alignment anytime you do anything with your front suspension… Especially since we can do it at home easily with a tape measure. I have yet needed to get an alignment done and have not had any alignment issues (knocking on wood as I type this).

I like sway disconnects but you do not need to get these for 2" lift. When/if you decide to get a set, get adjustable ones this way you can re-use them when you decide to lift the jeep again.

read up on DIY swaybar disconnects. i wouldn’t worry too much about the trackbars for now i just RTV’d a couple hockey pucks to the lower spring bucks easy 5 dollar bumpstops

If you need a little more room I will also offer my garage Glenn

got front sway disconnects will get some rear ones or make some brackets.
thanks for info and garage offers.

I will post up again when I have everything ready to go.
