What did you do to your Jeep today?

uncovered and fuel it up for the pig roast :sunglasses:

Replaced radiator in the sons XJ. But the electric fan does not work either… of course!!

Took a creeper underneath now that I got her back from a family member who was using her as a loaner… she’s leaking pretty much everything, I see new seals in my future and some time on the driveway looking up lol

Started my snorkel install

Scored a set of factory half doors on Craigslist in Light Khaki Metallic to match my Jeep. Guy gave me 2 sets of uppers and a pair of factory mirrors to go with them. Except for a small ding on the bottom of the drivers door (that’s been touched up), their in showroom condition inside and out.

Spent a few hours wire brushing my fuel tank plate, even went out and got some rust-stop galvanizing primer and gave it a once over for good measure.

Got the stubby bumper kit in the mail…

I added a jet stage 2 module.

Let it sleep in the barn covered in sawdust from using the table saw. I think it’s really happy in there!

i drove the f$%kin thing

Finished snorkel install

sweet can’t wait to see it.

Dropped the gas tank out the bottom. (Way harder than it should have been) wire brushed and painted the area where it was, should be putting it back up tomorrow

Nice

i got the pass dr open.and disconnected the inside lock bar now i can open and close it and lock it from the out side no big deal…doors suck…

picked up the YJ, nice platform for my streetable trail rig. i have a little work to do on it but i’ll be wheeling in in 14’

oh and put the hardtop on the TJ

Gave the inside of my frame a linseed oil treatment (Works as an inexpensive anti-corrosive)

90% done with my OBA

Dropped my front axle off at Mitchell Differential for new gears and an e-locker. If all goes as planned it should be back under my Jeep in time for the trail ride next weekend.

Busy weekend…

Did a front end alignment - this helped the jeep wander a little. Found out the lower control arm bushings are shot so there is some play in the arms… Today I ordered a set of Savvy lower front aluminum control arms to solve that problem…

Pulled off my oil pan again to bang out the dent in it …sadly there is still a leak under the jeep…errrr maybe its the RMS which was replaced not to long ago or even better the valve cover gasket…

Installed my oil pan skid plate FINALLY!

Found one of the ā€œbangsā€ I would hear when backing up… passengers side rear upper control arm bracket was half torn off the frame… a little welding…okay a lot of welding later and its fixed… BTW…overhead welding sucks without a welding jacket… contrary to my belief a tee shirt will NOT keep a hot slag from burning your arm :open_mouth:

Welded the muffler and tail pipe brackets back onto the muffler / tail pipe that were broken off after a few trail rides …

Figured out that you CAN install a new exhaust manifold without pulling the intake on a 4.0 with a mml. My intake /exhaust gasket was less then a year old. I know its a small thing but I am amazed at the sound difference when driving my TJ without a cracked manifold versus a bad one

Installed my new OSJ windshield decal… 3" lettering… is it to big??.. thoughts…

It definitely gets the message across!
Good thing your in RI, in this state they can fail your inspection for that!
